Guidelines and Submission Information

As Poets Express publishes online, there is no set deadline for submissions.

Although we try to reply to every email, due to lack of resources, it's not always possible.  Please be assured that we read all submitted poetry.  If your poetry is accepted, you will receive a reply within 4 - 6 weeks.

All styles and poetic themes will be considered.  Poems can be of any length.  Poems should be edited and ready for publication, typed in a combination of lower and upper case or lower case only. Please don't submit poetry typed in all upper case.  We will have to return it.

Poets Express encourages new and established writers to submit original creations, composed using traditional and experimental technique.  We accept simultaneous submissions.  We prefer original, unpublished poetry, but, if you have an outstanding, previously published piece you'd like to share, which has not been widely published on the net, we may consider it.  Poets Express is part of Skyline Literary Community, and maintains a high standard of excellent literature and original artwork.  At the discretion of our editors, some poetry may be published on, an affiliate of Skyline Community.

Although we may archive select poetry pages, all poetry remains the sole property of the poets who submit them. Poets reserve all rights to their work, at all times.  Please read our Copyright information.

Artists and illustrators retain sole rights to their art, at all times.

Please query before submitting art, with a brief description of your style of work and url of a web site where you art is currently displayed.  Our space is limited to 3 pieces of art per issue.  Art will not be archived.
